A growing baby is an amazing thing to watch, but raising a child is not always sunshine and rainbows. You may feel some anxiety and worry, especially if you’re not used to it. When you have concerns and need to talk to someone about it, you can visit your local municipal office and regional childcare support centers for advice.

All consultations are confidential, and you can even do it by phone. The person on the other line may be able to introduce you to other types of services you can use.

You may also want to attend childcare classes and regional support groups held by local municipal offices. Public health nurses teach these classes and can give you points on raising your child at every age and stage. These are also excellent opportunities to meet other parents. Childcare “circles” and groups are a place where parents can play with their children, parents can discuss their worries with other parents, and share information.
