Kindergartens provide education for preschool children between 3 and 6 years old. There are both public and private kindergartens, and application procedures as well as tuition and other fees will vary. Some schools may require the purchase of items including a smock for the child.

Entry into a kindergarten is not compulsory. Enrollment is generally for a period of one year, with the application process taking place in November and December. For more details it is best to ask the kindergarten directly.

Like daycare centers, kindergartens hold events too, including parent/guardian conferences, visitation days, athletic meets, and school outings, for which parent/guardian participation is expected.
