Medical check-ups and vaccinations for infants

To promote the healthy development of children, municipal governments offer the following check-ups and vaccinations. For details of when and where these are available, please ask your local public health center.

If you are enrolled in a public health insurance program （national health insurance or employee’s insurance）, you will responsible for 30% of the total medical costs of your child. However, for children who are preschool-aged （up to the first March 31 after a child's 6th birthday）, you will bear 20% of the total costs incurred. Also, each local municipal government has its own infant and child medical expenses support programs, so please inquire directly for details.

*Certain vaccinations are free-of-charge to encourage a healthy populace.
