Registration of Name Seals
Even if you are a foreign national you will probably find it useful to have a registered name seal. Prices vary depending on the material used, and you can buy them quite easily from seal shops and general stores.
When completing formal documents and contracts for loans, automobile purchases, or the purchases (or sale) of real estate, you may need a name seal registration certificate. If you are over 15 years old you may register your seal at your local municipal office. Your seal must fit within a square with sides whose length is between 8 and 25 mm. The seal should be made of a sturdy material, and must use all or part of your name as given for alien registration.
