Lawyers

Unless you are able to give clear counter-argument and proof you will lose your case in court. However, court procedures are complicated and it is difficult to manage on your own. Lawyers act as our representatives when dealing with such matters.

Lawyers are legal experts who are also involved in procedures other than the trials. All lawyers must have passed the state law examination and taken legal training. They must join the local lawyers’ association.

There are about 60 lawyers working in Iwate. If you ever need legal representation you can always ask the Iwate Lawyers Association for advice (Tel: 019-651-5095). If you do retain a lawyer, do remember that you will have to pay fees in accordance with the value involved (value of claim, money awarded to you, etc).
