Bus Cards

Some buses are equipped to handle pre-paid bus cards. (These bus cards can be used on both Iwateken Kotsu and Iwate Kenpoku services anywhere within the prefecture). Besides not having to worry about small change, if you buy a bus card you will be saving money, as the face value is normally higher than the price you pay. You can buy bus cards from the bus driver, the bus centre, as well at convenience stores and other outlets.

Insert card into the machine by the door Remaining units and stop number will be displayed Take card from the top of the machine

When leaving the bus, insert the bus card into the machine beside the driver.

The fare to be debited and the units remaining on the card will be displayed.
(If there are no longer any units left on your card it will be retained by the machine.)

Tell the bus driver and then please pay the remaining fare in cash or by inserting another new bus card.
