To call the police in the event of a road accident or a crime just dial 110.
○Stay calm. It is unlikely that the police will understand a foreign language so when they answer use the following simple Japanese phrases to tell them what has happened:

There’s been a burglary .……………dorobo desu
Please help .…………………………tasukete kudasai

○When you call the police remember to tell them exactly where the accident or crime happened. If you do not know the address then try and give them as many local details as possible. Mention landmark buildings, etc.
